The Executive Secretary of the Coalition Mr. Azubila Emmanuel Abdul-Salam who double as Executive Secretary of Anchoring Democracy Advocacy Movement Ghana (ADAM-GH) encouraged their numerous members across the country that the leadership will not relent until there’s a review of the 4% salary increment.
According to Mr. Azubila, TUC and Organized labour is calling for an emergency meeting and our Organization (coalition Against TUC and Organized labour in favour of Ghanaian workers) is their subject or agenda for their emergency meeting, he noted.
He said they are encouraging all members of the coalition to be calm and give them the necessary support needed.
He said “We will never and I repeat this Coalition will never relent in this fight until there’s a review of the 4% salary increment”.
Chairman of the TUC Mr. Alexander Nyarko-Opoku called the Executive Secretary of ADAM-GH who double as Executive Secretary of Coalition against TUC and Organized labour in favour of Ghanaian workers Mr. Azubila last Saturday and invited him and his leadership to a meeting with the leadership of TUC and Organized labour but Azubila and his team declined and ask TUC to officially write to them, and also provide them with TUC and Organized labour position papers at the tripartite committee meeting.
According to our source, TUC and Organized labour have since not officially written to Coalition against TUC and Organized labour in favour of Ghanaian workers. However, the Coalition laid their hand on a letter written by the Secretary General of TUC Dr. Yaw Anthony Baah inviting Organized labour groups to an emergency meeting on Friday 23rd July 2021. The agenda of the meeting is to deliberate on the actions of Coalition against TUC and Organized labour in favour of Ghanaian workers.
